A decade of moving cities forward – and a look at what comes next.
The TUMI Conference 2026 is a special occasion for us: we celebrate 10 years of TUMI – a decade of advancing sustainable urban mobility worldwide. This anniversary is not only a moment to reflect on achievements, but also an opportunity to look ahead and shape the next chapter together.
Cities are where mobility challenges are most visible. But cities do not stand alone – they are part of wider regions, economic networks, and supply chains. As cities expand and climate pressures intensify, transport can no longer be planned in isolation.

10 Years of TUMI
Four guiding themes
People
Corridors are built by people, for people. Who wins, who's left behind – and how do we change that?Planet
Nature-positive infrastructure. How can corridors and urban nodes support climate mitigation, adaptation and biodiversity?Prosperity
No corridor is an island. How can governments at all levels work together to integrate urban nodes into corridors?Data
You can't transform what you can't measure. How can data, digitalisation and AI drive the shift toward low-carbon, inclusive and resilient transport systems?
A day of exchange & celebration.

Tamara Nerima
Sustainability Director, Scania East Africa (Kenya)

Tamara Nerima
Sustainability Director, Scania East Africa (Kenya)Heavy transport is one of the hardest sectors to decarbonise, and East Africa has had to do it without waiting for infrastructure that doesn’t yet exist. Tamara led Scania to become the first in the region to introduce Euro 4 and Euro 5 engines, and East Africa’s first biodiesel truck fleet, all while training a new generation of women drivers in a nearly all-male industry. Tamara made a simple bet: the fastest way to change an industry’s habits is to change who gets to drive that change from inside it. The driver training programs she has built into Scania’s strategy are her following through on that.
