Edna Mercy Manyasa is the Director of Transport Futures, an independent African transport think tank working at the intersection of mobility and energy transitions for Africa’s socio-economic transformation. She is a Transportation Engineer, Assistant Lecturer at Egerton University Kenya, and PhD candidate in Transportation Engineering at JKUAT. Her areas of expertise include transport research and data, electric mobility, sustainable mobility, transport policy, and intelligent transport systems. She has supported urban mobility projects as a consultant with UN-Habitat, road infrastructure projects at the Kenya Urban Roads Authority, as well as renewable energy and power transmission projects. She is passionate about electric mobility in Africa and mentoring the next generation of transport professionals. She has been recognized as a Catalyst for Change in Sustainable Transport in Africa and is an Agora Sustainable Transport Fellow.
